Netherwent Area
The band started as part of the Ring for the King initiative in the lead up to the Coronation of HM King Charles III. We operate as a Ministry Area band, rather than just being affiliated to a single tower. Since 2023, we have built up from a handful of ringers to band of seventeen active ringers – all at varying stages from rounds and call changes to surprise minor.
The practices are split into two parts. A learners practice from 7pm to 7:30pm, in which the focus is bell-handling and ringing up and down. From 7:30pm it is a general practice. On the first Tuesday of the month we join up with our friends from other local bands and the Forest Branch 10-bell practice at Chepstow.
