Penarth is a very active band in the area with a learners practice currently proceeding the band's main practice each week and the ringers retiring to the Bear's Head pub in the centre of Penarth after practice.

For existing ringers, ringing spans all levels from round and call changes upwards with Surprise Major methods run at most practices and on Sunday mornings.
